Culturally Rich Tradition at River Bend
Sara and Galym are two of the most authentically kind human beings on the face of the Earth. I was able to get to know them on a trip out to Oregon to do their engagement photos and spending time hiking through waist deep water and hearing all about how they met at Stanford and their big plans for their upcoming wedding. The River Bend in Lyons, Co was an absolutely perfect venue for this sweet July Colorado destination wedding.
Sara got ready in a glamping tent with the sound of the river rushing by as her soundtrack. Sara’s family is from Morroco and Galym’s family from Kazakhstan, and they had dear friends and family
… from every corner of the World, it was truly beautiful to watch traditions from different cultures come to life throughout the day.
Sara is the queen of DIY and all the details, signs and trinkets/favors are all vintage or made by hand! During their ceremony in addition to having an amazing guitartist play, they had their brothers each give a speech, while all of them were very sentimental, they were also HILARIOUS. We were cracking up the whole time. These two planned everything perfectly for an romantic and intimate night, dinner and charcuterie by Greens Point Catering while watching a full life highlight reel of the bride and groom that their families put together, complete with hilarious stories of them growing up and heartfelt toasts.
A summer night staple, ice cream truck, Petey Bird serving up the sweet stuff during mingling and dancing underneath the stars.
